Sun Essence is channelled rather than cast, reaching those who carry it through bloodline or through an artifact attuned to them. Affinity differs from lineage to lineage, and the strength of a working depends on the will of the one who guides it through mind and body. An attuned artifact can bond to a bearer through emotional resonance as readily as through descent.
